DIY Foaming Hand Soap

As moms we know the importance of regular hand washing. Having a soap dispenser at every sink will help in your efforts to keep our families healthy. Making your own foaming hand soap is as easy as 1-2-3.

You will need:

1) a soap dispenser with a foaming pump (a regular pump will not work.} I recycled my foaming soap dispensers from BBW.

2) distilled water

3) unscented, liquid castile soap

Simply fill the soap dispenser to within 1-2 inches from the top with distilled water, add two tablespoons of liquid castile soap, and voila, you’re done! Additionally, you can fragrance your hand soap with essential oils and add moisture by adding one tablespoon of olive, fractionated coconut, or almond oil. I prefer fractionated coconut oil because it mixes well with the water and castile soap. I encourage you to try different ingredients until you find the solution that works best for you.

*There are many published books on the market to guide you in the use of essential oils. If you are pregnant or nursing seek medical advice before using essential oils.
