Melt and Pour Honey Oatmeal Soap

Recently I made a honey and oatmeal cold process soap. While it takes about 8-weeks to cure I decided to make a quick and easy melt and pour honey and oatmeal soap. I chose a goat milk melt and pour base that I picked up from a local distributor, melting one pound of the base in the microwave in 30-seconds bursts. Once melted I added two tablespoons of raw, unfiltered honey, one tablespoon of vitamin E oil, and one tablespoon of sweet almond oil. You can use any carrier oil that you’d like. Stir well as you add each ingredient. Once all the ingredients are incorporated well into the melted soap base, pour into your mold and let it sit for at least three hours. Once I poured the soap into the mold I sprinkled the top with colloidal oatmeal, using a chopstick to mix well. After three hours your bars are ready to be used or gifted to friends and family.
